TEACHING INTERNATIONAL MARKETING

Workshop Focus:
This workshop is designed as an interactive forum for faculty members and PhD students to exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices in teaching International Marketing. The session will include discussions on the following topics:
- International Marketing course syllabi: A comparative review of course syllabi developed and used by four colleagues.
- Approaches to teaching International Marketing: Exploring different approaches to teaching the subject at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including examples from colleagues’ teaching practices.
- Teaching cases: Sharing and discussing effective cases, case-based teaching methods, and their application in the International Marketing classroom.
- Reading lists: Reviewing recommended readings, journal articles, textbooks, and other resources for designing and delivering International Marketing courses.
- Interactive teaching methods: Discussing classroom activities, simulations, projects, and assessment techniques that can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Target Audience:
The workshop is intended for PhD students and faculty members interested in teaching International Marketing and developing effective courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It will also be useful for scholars seeking to exchange teaching resources, classroom practices, and ideas for strengthening their International Marketing curriculum.
Workshop Schedule:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17,2026, 6.30PM – 8.00PM IST
The sessions will be delivered as Live Online over the Zoom platform. Given the online session, participants must be equipped with the requisite level of Internet connectivity. Participants are also required to turn the video on during the session as this helps to create a learning environment that is quite similar to a face-to-face class.

PARTICIPATION CHARGES:

For all 4 workshops – INR 1300/- or USD 40

WORKSHOP LEADER
Professor Malika
Malika is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing at IIM Bangalore. Prior to joining, she was an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow in the Department of Marketing at the Stern School of Business. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from Indian School of Business, her M.Phil. in Social and Developmental Psychology from University of Cambridge and her M.A. and B.A. in Psychology from Panjab University. Her research focuses on individual differences and cultural differences in interpersonal and consumer context.
